About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Army Reserve G-3/5/7, Force Management Directorate Main, Force Management Division, Manpower Survey Team, located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on manpower systems and requirements for the US Army Reserve Force Management Program.
Review current and programmed Army Reserve force structure to identify unit activations/in-activations, organization restructuring, realignment of manpower resources, and other force structure actions for assigned units/commands.
Conduct complex studies, surveys, and/or requirement determination projects to ensure effective and efficient use of manpower resources.
Analyze force structure data systems, Concepts Plans, and projected Total Army Analysis to assess the impact of force structure actions/decisions on the Full Time Support staffing for assigned units/commands.
Present organizational structure and manpower resourcing recommendations to internal and external customers for decision and implementation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: using detailed knowledge of force management and organizational studies, activation and inactivation of units, reorganization changes, and analysis and estimation studies to determine increases, decreases, or realignment of manpower resources. Such experience must have provided knowledge of protective systems and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
