Duties
The selectee will serve as a Printing Services Specialist in the Office of Enterprise Readiness, Administrative Operations Division. Typical work assignments include:
Analyzing and evaluating issues, policies, and procedures to resolve problems pertaining to printing services; Employee determines need for revised methods, policies, and procedures to improve printing operations, eliminate costs and redundancies.
Reproducing all materials received via electronic means (e.g., website(s), e-mail, etc.). Receives and reviews a variety of requests for printing and duplicating services.
Assisting with estimating the Printing Management Section yearly budget, establishes and maintains numerous control logs, records, and files on all printing or duplicating work for use in cost analysis; Utilizing records and files to determine the cost of printing or duplicating work and advising requesting office of the estimated cost of non-recurring jobs. Reviews invoices for accuracy

Individual Occupational Requirements
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- journalism, business administration, English composition, commerce, accounting, printing or printing engineering, graphic or commercial art, industrial engineering, or economics. In addition to meeting the individual occupational requirement, qualified applicants must possess: Transcripts must be provided for qualifications based on education. Provide course descriptions as necessary.
IN ADDITION TO MEETING THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS ABOVE, YOU MUST ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You qualify for the GS-9 level (starting salary $69,923.00) if you possess one of the following:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level performing duties such as:
Analyzing the price and cost of preparation and production of printing
Performing substantive administrative support or policy functions directly related to publishing and printing program management or operations
Providing administrative support to a training
OR
A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related;
OR
an appropriate combination of specialized experience and education (only graduate education in excess of 18 semester hours may be used to qualify applicants for this grade level). The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current competitive service employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50, "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). You may need to submit more than one SF-50 to comply.
