About the Position: Serves as a Contact Representative (Office Automation) performing duties in support of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and its geographic area of responsibility. This position is located with the Fox Army Health Center SSO Stand-Alone MTF Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Conduct studies and makes recommendations to management concerning impact of policies and procedures affecting health care delivery and possible changes. Assist patients by contacting Fox Army Health Center, other military treatment facilities, Veteran Administration (VA) and network civilian providers, the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and TRICARE contract offices on his/her behalf Collect and enter data/information into automated computer systems for the purpose of creating and maintaining appropriate databases for analysis and ongoing documentation of patient satisfaction and complaints. Research a variety of patient care issues that require assistance with coordinating and educating eligible beneficiaries on TRICARE Prime Travel and non-medical attendant travel in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulation. Operate a personal computer to input, store, retrieve, and manipulate data. Ensure accurate completion of Defense Travel Systems (DTS) authorizations and vouchers for medical care.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment.
