Duties

Receives and addresses inquiries directly from beneficiaries, Medical Treatment Facility staff, other network agencies, and various interested parties. Provides assistance and education to a wide variety of beneficiaries on established TRICARE procedures and benefits. Responsible for working beneficiary issues that cross regional boundaries. Acts as liaison to resolve issues with MCSCs, fiscal intermediaries, and other concerned parties, when such issues are not resolved at the local level. Provides information and assistance in obtaining information on such items as beneficiaries and claims. Develop various means to maintain an informed population on TRICARE, to include news releases, bulletins, meetings, and seminars. Serves as the Debt Collection Assistance assist officer, assisting beneficiaries whose unpaid medical debts have resulted in negative credit reports, and/or have been transferred to collection agencies. Using an automated data processing system and a variety of software packages, accomplishes a wide range of clerical, statistical, and data entry/retrieval tasks in support of administrative work of the office. Determine the status of the military sponsor, health insurance coverage and other pertinent data and assists beneficiaries in the completion of appropriate medical claims processing forms.
