This vacancy is for a GS-1805-13, Investigative Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, CGIS MISSION SUPPORT DEPARTMENT -MS.
Duties
You will serve as Crime Analyst, responsible for: compiling and reviewing data regarding criminal activity with emphasis on sex crimes; systematically analyzing data to identify and formulate conclusions about crime trends and other important factors to assist in the development of strategies and methods for the prevention and suppression of criminal activities; and preparing and disseminating statistics and reports to facilitate CGIS management and operational decisions and planning; and, at the full performance level, may be assigned to oversee operations and activities of the Crime Analysis unit and to act as the primary source of quality control and verification of information.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include the following:
Conducting analysis of investigative cases.

NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
