Duties
Serves as the Principal for Strategic Communications Consultant, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the development and implementation of key communications plans, strategies, and programs to support MCCS MR operations. Reports to the Deputy Director of Marketing and Innovation the incumbent will support the decision-making process of the Executive Team by advising on Strategic Communications matters and translating strategies and plans into tactical initiatives.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field AND six years of related and relevant work experience; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above; OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.Expert strategic, operational, and tactical knowledge of the USMC mission, structure, and culture. Expert knowledge of interactive and integrated marketing with significant emphasis on strategic communications, digital marketing, customer engagement, marketing research, direct marketing, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies.Expert knowledge of innovation methods, human centered design, new product, and service development strategies, managing innovation portfolios, and building business cases for innovative new offerings. Expert knowledge of communication strategies, brand management and new product/service launches.High degree of skill in analytical reasoning and the ability to apply that skill in the identification, analysis, and conceptualization of problems. Extensive knowledge of market dominance, product differentiation, cost leadership, market segmentation, innovation, and business model strategies.Expert knowledge of budgeting issues.Expert skill developing, implementing, and building brand equity through brand positioning and annual marketing plans.Demonstrated ability to define campaign objectives and key selling messages.Expert knowledge in innovation, product/program developmentSkill in giving complex oral presentations and briefings, which contain in-depth explanations, analyses, and potential solutions of subject matter. Experience in a corporate or agency environment is highly valued.Eligible for incremental telework as determined by MR/MF policy.
