About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Air Defense Artillery School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The applicant has an opportunity to work with both Military and Civilian personnel.

Duties

Prepare blanket travel order requests for IMSO (International Military Student Office) Manager. Prepare travel arrangements for travel authorizations and vouchers. Conduct field studies for International Military Student (IMS) travel program. Use automated system such as Defense Travel System (DTS) for travel approval processes. Use office automated systems to compile data for monthly, annual, and special reports. Review statically trends to ensure travel program meets organization performance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position may require an irregular work schedule to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Specialized Experience for GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: preparing transportation documents, applying transportation regulations, and utilizing automated transportation databases and systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). Specialized Experience for GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes: processing documents using automated databases and systems for the transportation of military personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04) Education Substitution: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Combination of Education and Experience for GS-05: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. (NOTE: You must submit your transcript) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
