About the Position: This position is located with U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Fort Sill, OK. This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months position. Please see "Additional Information" section below for further details.

Duties

Advise travelers on travel entitlements, modes of transportation, and restrictions. Maintain an automated register for the purpose of tracking and auditing centrally billed account transactions. Serve as Travel Clerk to process required transportation actions of movement of military/civilian personnel to domestic and foreign destinations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A qualified typist is required.
  • Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Make official travel arrangements for personnel involving all modes of transportation; 2) Review travel orders to determine entitlements and mode of travel; 3) Apply travel regulations governing entitlements and authorizations; and 4) Utilize automated systems to arrange official travel services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsComputer SkillsTransportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
