You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Advanced Security Division, Security Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE, supporting Weapon Integration Kill Chain Engineering and Development (WIKCED).
Duties
You will plan, implement, and administer the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) Security ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
You will serve as the Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) providing advice and managing all aspects of SAP security programs needed to complete the organization's mission.
You will also serve as the program's Special Security Representative (SSR).
You will provide support in the areas of program protection planning; personnel, industrial, physical and Information Systems (IS).
You will prepare, review and evaluate program and security documentation to ensure adequate protection is provided in accordance with program requirements.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
DA-04:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Providing security and administrative support to include Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP); 2) Interpreting sponsor's classified technical needs and applying risk management and relevant security measures to ensure national security; 3) Implementing policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods to prevent the loss and/or compromise of classified information or material in a special access program (SAP); 4) Providing guidance on the proper safeguarding, handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information, controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive material.
DA-03:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Assisting with providing security and administrative support to include Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP); 2) Applying risk management and relevant security measures to ensure national security; 3) Assisting with implementing policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods to prevent the loss and/or compromise of classified information or material in a special access program (SAP); 4) Assisting with providing guidance on the proper safeguarding, handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information, controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive material.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For DA-04:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., if related
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
For DA-03:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
