The Entity Triage Chief (ETC) serves as part of the Office of Entity Vetting senior leadership team and is responsible for supervising the research and timely production of Risk Indicator Reports (RIR) identifying company business integrity and lawful conduct or foreign interest related risk indicators that may indicate a company poses a risk to USG customers, information, technology, or national security.

As a SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/ GG-14) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Advanced experience managing a portfolio, projects, programs, or systems; Expert demonstration of security, intelligence, and business knowledge, as well as understanding of workflows, metrics/production requirements, and needs analysis; Advanced experience training, leading, and mentoring others; Executing vetting principles and practices to address program, technology, organization, or individual risk; Advanced experience auditing approved triage reports or due diligence activities to ensure adherence to applicable regulatory standards and internal style guides. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Actively encourages and supports enhancement of a joint perspective. 4. Planning & Evaluation- Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes. 5. Program Security- Employs an array of acquisition and contract security measures to sustain secrecy of highly sensitive USG programs and/or activities. Prevents unauthorized disclosure of national intelligence program information throughout the contract lifecycle. 6. Risk Management-Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation, including assessment of failures and their consequences.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
