This position is in the Operations, Integration, and Engagement (OI&E) Division of the Industrial Security (IS), DCSA. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Senior Security Operations Specialist assigned to the OI&E to support Industrial Security operations, integration of missions, management of Industrial Security level actions and tasks and engagement in support of DCSA's assigned responsibilities to the Assistant Director, Industrial Security.

Duties

As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: - The incumbent serves as Chief, of OIE and provides broad program management support and operational oversight for OIE in support of the Industrial Security Directorate through the following duties and responsibilities: -Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the personnel and activities of the division and other assigned elements. -Supports IS plans and operations and near and long-term engagement planning. -Oversees the planning and execution of engagements and communications. -Oversees the preparation, planning and briefings for the Industrial Security Directorate. -Leads coordination efforts with Industrial Security mission leads on the integration of missions. -Provides advice and guidance on strategic and operational requirements, plans and policies for Industrial Security. -Collaborates with and briefs senior level industry and federal government leaders on behalf of AD, IS.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-14 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Skill using managerial authority to set annual and multi-year work plans and schedules for projects accomplished in-house and by contract. Also, Determines goals and objectives for the division, where emphasis should be placed and how best to utilize resources including realignments to address shortfalls or to satisfy priority needs. Ensures the development and implementation of performance metrics to assess progress toward goals and objectives Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Leadership - Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations. 2. Strategic Thinking - Formulates objectives and priorities, and implements plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization in a global environment that takes into consideration the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values. Capitalizes on opportunities and manages risks and contingencies, recognizing the implications for the organization and stakeholders. 3. Communications Strategy - Supports the employment of measures and controls to deny unauthorized persons electronic, logical, and physical access to information derived from electronic communications and ensures authenticity of such communications. 4. Planning and Evaluating - Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
