Serves as the Financial Analyst (Lead) in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ location. The primary purpose of this position serves as a financial analyst and team lead entering, modifying, and correcting data in computerized accounting systems to include AIMS/SAVES, DIBS, and an in-development Oracle based accounting system.
Duties
Performs daily/monthly reconciliations of various accounting processes to ensure the general ledger to subsidiary ledger are balanced in support of financial
statements.
Advises managers on any data integrity issues.
Trains entry level technicians as requested by management.
This position is expected to direct workload of other personnel and identify areas of
concern to the supervisory staff.
The incumbent works independently to monitor inventory balances and other records to detect irregularities or questionable trends.
Ensures that weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly inventories are extended and maintained in accordance with governing directives.

To qualify for this position your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-07 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. At the GS-09 applicants can also qualify on the basis of possessing a Master's of equivalent degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience:
Researches complex accounting issues and serves as a technical advisor.
Receives and analyzes fund accounting.
Creates, modifies, run queries, and generates reports in various financial management systems.
Distributes and balances the workload.
Reviews and analyzes Accounts Receivable reports for maintenance and reduction.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

For GS-9: You must have 52 weeks of Federal service at or equivalent to GS-7.
