About the Position: This is a permanent Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Military) position with the Directorate of Human Resources Military Personnel Division Trainee/Student Services Branch at Fort Jackson, SC.

Duties

Responsible for staff supervision, direction, coordination, and control over a wide range of personnel programs. Plans work schedules and sequence of operations on a short and long-term basis to assure an even flow and proper distribution of work, the expeditious handling of priority cases, and the meeting of schedules and deadlines. Reviews all actions for completeness, accuracy and regulatory compliance. Performs a variety of military personnel administration and management duties relating to records maintenance, issuing identification cards, orders processing, and trainee separations. Performs personnel administration and supervisory duties.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
