Duties
As a Supervisory Grants Evaluation Specialist, you will:
Be responsible for the oversight, management, and administrative and technical direction of the Area Office (AO) Grants Evaluation Division.
Plan and supervise the technical functions and administrative duties of the AO Grants Evaluation Specialists.
Provide on-going assistance to AO Administrator in resolving Division grievances, reviewing, and approving disciplinary actions of Division staff, managing travel, staff, and equipment resources, and identifying skills gaps and training needs of Division staff.
Allocate the Division staffing and resources appropriately to meet demands of the grant's evaluation workload assigned to the Division.
Direct AO Grants Evaluation Division in the implementation of national policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines with regard to the monitoring and evaluation of all applicable program recipients.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Experience interpreting grant policy; AND
Experience administering and managing discretionary grants to public and private organizations; AND
Experience implementing and interpreting government or organizational financial policies.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
