This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Alaska Region, Deputy Regional Director-Native Services, Branch of Self Determination in Anchorage, Alaska.

- Will be required to file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report Form in accordance with 5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart I.
- Incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain continual certification as an Awarding Official under the Bureau's Awarding Official Certification System Handbook.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-1101).
GS-14: I have at least one year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-13 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience in providing leadership and/or management of the Indian Self-Determination as Amended and the Education Assistance Act of 1975 (ISDEAA) and Public Law (P.L. 93-638) program activities to include serving as an Awarding Official providing advisory services to develop, coordinate, negotiate and award on a variety of contracts and grants; handling contract management, policy development reviews, negotiating and resolving administrative or management issues; determining organizational training needs regarding self-determination and determining activities associated with the development of training and curriculum development to support the implementation of P.L. 93-638.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be certified or certifiable within a reasonable period of time and maintain continual certification for Awarding Official under the Bureau of Indian Affairs Awarding official Certification System Handbook.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
