You will serve as a SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the Executive Office of NAVY EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND PAC.
Duties
You will minimize or eliminate human injury and property and productivity losses, caused by harmful contact incidents, through the design of effective management policies, programs, or practices.
You will conduct routine comprehensive safety and risk management evaluations and training to ensure compliance with requirements/regulations promulgated from higher authority.
You will plan, schedule, and conduct inspections for subordinate commands and activities, fulfilling safety goals and objectives while meeting program requirements.
You will review new and existing policy changes proposed by higher authority to evaluate effectiveness or impact of changes and recommend modification, as needed, to tailor programs to the NECCPAC and its subordinate commands.
You will organize and coordinate efforts for Hazard Review Board to review risks that NECCPAC and subordinate commands are facing.
You will manage safety data information systems that include on duty and off duty injuries, illnesses, operational property damage, and various program elements.
You will develop goals and training objectives for improving the SOH program based on safety data analysis; identification of trends (frequency/severity data, causal factors); and development of recommendations for improvement in reducing mishaps.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying safety and occupational health principles, methods, and techniques to survey industrial operations; analyze findings to identify trends or deficiencies; and develop recommendations to improve regulatory compliance and identify or eliminate hazardous conditions.
