You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL) in the Disability Transition Branch of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Duties
You will process all TDRL members submitted claim resulting from a physical evaluation hearing.
You will monitor the debts within Defense Travel System (DTS) to track overpayments.
Process travel claims for payment by inputting voucher information, receipts for lodging, taxes charged to government for payment and prepare documents for review and approval to the DTS Authorizing Official AO.
You will verify document entries for accuracy to include mailing and emailing addresses, telephone number, security clearance, and EFT banking information.
You will manage budget execution to notify leaders of shortfalls for future travel.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Processing Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) members submitted claim from physical evaluation hearings; 2) Monitoring Defense Travel System (DTS) debts to track overpayments requiring repayment to the government; 3) Processing travel voucher claims and preparing documentation for review and approval; and 4) Verifying document entries for accuracy, including mailing and email addresses, telephone number, security clearances, and banking information.
