About the Position: Serve as the US Army Nuclear and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Agency (USANCA) liaison to US Army Pacific Command (USARPAC). USANCA provides unique mission support to the Army G-3/5/7 and Department of the Army senior leaders. This position is located at the USARPAC Headquarters in Fort Shafter, HI.
Federal employees in Hawaii are currently entitled to receive a 8.64% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.
Duties
Establish liaison between the supported organization and parent organization.
Provide guidance on the preparation of responses to department inquiries regarding Nuclear and CWMD actions.
Ensure nuclear and CWMD concerns are integrated and synchronized with all applicable support plans.
Support training and exercises related to nuclear and CWMD mission areas.
Perform theater level targeting integration by supporting USANCA Nuclear Employment Augmentation Team
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Travel Required: Up to 25% Business Travel may be required.

- This position is designated as Emergency Essential.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing strategic military documents to identify shortfalls; acting as liaison between supported unit and parent organization; and providing recommendations to leadership on nuclear operational plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
