Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Public Health Advisor, you will be:
Ensuring: (1) ideation, procurement, and execution of data and evaluation contracts; (2) development and application of data collection tools; (3) analysis, interpretation, and presentation of performance data; (4) data reporting in response to reports to Congress and incoming correspondence; and (5) technical assistance to States through learning collaboratives, webinars, and printed and other resources.
Providing senior level management working closely with Office staff to ensure effective implementation of effective working procedures for maximum efficiency and productivity; providing leadership in the coordination and implementation of specific Center-wide, Agency-wide and Federal-State policy and project efforts.
Maintaining an awareness of policy and guidance emanating from higher echelons and exercising sound technical judgment in developing or revising Office policies, procedures, programs, and activities accordingly.
Responsible for the employee performance management of the Office, including (1) planning work and setting expectations; (2) continually. monitoring performance; (3) developing the capacity to perform; and (4) periodically rating performance in a summary fashion and rewarding good performance.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies
and organizations engaged in public health or other health-related activities.
2. Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in State
and local settings.
3. Knowledge of a specialized public health program.
4. Knowledge of, and skill in, the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within the
framework of a public health or related organization and carrying out specific program functions.
5. Skill in oral and written communication, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports,
correspondence, and other written materials.
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing at least 4 of the following:
1. Establishing a robust compliance monitoring program to ensure that grantees and states are adhering to program requirements (i.e., financial audits, clinical reviews, site visits).
2. Leading cross-organization collaboration on performance measurement development and program evaluation portfolio.
3. Ensuring ideation, procurement, and/or execution of data and evaluation contracts.
4. Conducting data analysis, interpretation, and/or presentation to inform leaders, grantees, and external audiences about the current state of program performance.
5. Developing and/or applying data collection tools and providing data reporting in response to reports to Congress and incoming correspondence.
