About the Position: Serve as the Executive Assistant and advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-9 and Executive Officer (XO) to the DCS G-9, and advisor to the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff (ADCS) G-9, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS) G-9. This position is for HQDA, DCS G-9, Executive Office located at the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. Relocation incentive MAY be authorized by IAW agency policy. Organization prefers resumes are no longer than 5 pages.

Duties

Provide direct support to the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 (DCS, G-9) and provide administrative guidance to Executive Office and Directorate level administrative personnel . Review correspondence, provide applicable executive summaries, interpretation of policy implications, or clear recommendations pertaining to content. Prepare all personal correspondence for the DCS, G-9. Prepare briefings, handbooks, reports, slides, forms, correspondence, etc. for the Executive Office using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Conduct research for developing material for the DCS G-9/Executive Officer use in preparing oral presentations or written material. Maintain the DCS, G-9’s calendar scheduling, travel planning and coordination, and office supply inventory. Serve as a focal point for administrative staff integration, taskings, staff coordination, and dissemination of information. Serve as liaison with dignitaries and staff officials during their visits.

Requirements

  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • You may be expected to business travel 5% for this position.
