About the Position: Services as a Lessons Learned Analyst (Operations) for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Collect, analyze, and disseminates joint strategic and operational lessons and best practices from operations and exercises.
Represent the Commanding General as a liaison officer in support of command requirements.
Analyze tactics, techniques, and procedures in direct support or special operations forces and interagency partners during operations.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance with Specialized Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- May require TDY travel over more than 30 days to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 30% of the time. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships and vehicles.
- Position subject to one-year probationary period unless previously completed.
- Employee must reside within the local area (50 miles) and able to report to work within an hour notice.
- This position is deployable and may require extended TDY to CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position requires a pre-employment physical and thereafter prior to OCONUS travel over 30 days.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data related to operations/ exercises and recommending solutions; implementing qualitative and quantitative techniques to measure the effectiveness of military operations; and preparing oral and written products for presentation to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
