About the Position: Fort Liberty known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Fayetteville Regional Airport is located 12 miles outside of Fort Liberty's gates and Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 70 miles away.
Duties
Serves as the Deputy Director, Operations and Readiness Directorate (G33) within the G-3/5/7, Headquarters, US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM).
Apply originality, insight, and creativity in developing operations, plans and policies for all operations and readiness-related activities.
Coordinate all aspects of Operations associated with the Readiness build and delivery of Army Capabilities to the Combatant Commanders
Plans, manages, coordinates and leads the day-to-day activities and operations of the Directorate to support decision making on all aspects of readiness, operations and strategic movements.
Provide a timely, accurate, synchronized and integrated information and analysis and sustained flow of trained and ready forces to support Combatant Commands
Supervises senior level staff comprised of civilian and military staff officers.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Plan, manage, coordinate, and lead the day-to-day activities and operations of the directorate; 2. Prepare guidance and/or briefings regarding readiness posture of organization; 3. Analyze readiness policies and programs; identifying potential areas of concern and/or shortfall with regard to readiness posture of organization by applying assessment methods to measure effectiveness of risk/readiness management procedures and programs within organization; and 4. Interfacing with multiple organizations/entities outside of organization in order to coordinate readiness operations; 5. Review and analyze information relating to mobilization matters; monitor programs pertaining to mobilization readiness and developing various installation regulations and plans in support of mobilization, training, and readiness operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
