You will serve as an Interagency Planner in the Joint Task Force (JTF) Division of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as the Interagency Planner (IP) for Joint Task Force Micronesia and assigned forces operating at sites throughout the Joint Area of Operation (JOA).
You will supervise the research, preparation, development, implementation, execution and post event assessments of Key Leader Engagements (KLE).
You will develop strategic communications plans, risk communications plans, crisis communication plans, contingency plans, campaign plans, operational plans and other required communication efforts.
You will provide operational appraisal, analysis, and recommendations to the JTF Commander pertaining to operations, actions, and investments (OAI) related to execution of the role of Senior Military Official (SMO) across the JOA.
You will perform analytical and evaluative work in determining the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the program and the accomplishment of objectives across the JOA.
You will develop and recommend inputs for JTF engagement requirements, regional equities, and essential tasks.
You will develop long-range organizational plans and goals.
You will provide advice, counsel, and instruction to accomplish the assigned function.
You will represent the JTF Commander at a wide range of meetings, cross functional teams (CFTs), tiger teams and other short and long term teams.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, directing, and coordinating broad, near-term and long-range programs; 2) Coordinating major projects of significance using management practices, and policy and planning guidelines; 3) Communicating in writing and orally, in one-on-one, as well as group management discussions and meetings; and 4) Researching, preparing, developing, implementing, executing, and evaluating operational communication plans.
