You will serve as an INTEGRATED AIR AND MISSILE DEFENSE PLANNER in the JOINT TASK FORCE of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will serve as the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IIAMD) Planner for Joint Task Force Micronesia Headquarters and its assigned operating sites throughout the Joint Operations Area. You will implement and execute policy and guidance on integrated joint all-domain fires and associated intelligence support. You will analyze Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (JIAMD) warfare program acquisition strategies or operations to assess program efficiency or effectiveness. You will collaborate with technical personnel to find solutions to issues found in analytical program studies. You will evaluate workforce data to advise managers on workforce development requirements. You will present data and supporting analysis to higher level personnel.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top-security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position will be required to be on call continuously (i.e. available 24 hours/day; seven days a week) with the exception to pre-approved leave and sick leave periods, to report to work in response to Future Operations related contingencies.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Managing Air and Missile Defense Command and Control, Communication and Network systems; 2) Integrating information with operational capabilities and concepts; 3) Manage airspace control measure planning and coordination; 4) Determining requirements for resources needed to minimize disruption of operations; and 5) Facilitates integrated Joint fires planning and operations.
