About the Position: Serve as an Assistant Executive Officer, overseeing the timely and accurate processing of all G-3/5/7 staff actions. Utilizes editorial knowledge to review, analyze, edit and revise documents submitted for consideration by the Army G-3/5/7 directorates and separate offices, and provides expert advice and assistance to directorate General Officers, Division Chiefs, and action officers in the preparation of these documents.
Duties
Provide leadership, guidance, advice and decision support to the G-3/5/7 Executive Officer, the Civilian and Military Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff (ADCS), and the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G-3/5/7.
Review, prioritize, task and monitor all staff actions for nine G-3/5/7 Directorates, five separate offices, and the U.S. Army Force Management Support Agency.
Monitor actions originating from the Secretary of the Army, the Under Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army, Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, and Sergeant Major of the Army.
Ensure timely performance of suspense tasking.
Alert the Executive Officer, the ADCS G-3/5/7 and/or the DCS G-3/5/7 to those actions that could become issues which might adversely impact on Army military operations, or otherwise require personal attention of the senior leadership.
Provide advice and consultation services on widely varying matters impacting the 1,200 G-3/5/7 personnel on a daily basis.

GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and coordinating staff actions and policies within an organization utilizing a task management system; overseeing, editing, and/or adjudicating staff actions, and ensuring actions are addressed and disseminated to the appropriate channels; providing advice to senior level leadership on staff actions and/or administrative matters; and engaging with leadership and stakeholders concerning the status of staff actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
