About the Position: Serve as the Senior Army Doctrine Manager located in the Strategy, Doctrine and Concepts Division (DAMO-SSP), Directorate of Strategy, Plans and Policy (DAMO-SS), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G-3/5/7, Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA).
Duties
Integrate Army doctrinal positions into joint and allied joint doctrine.
Design methods and milestones for the conduct of comprehensive studies to review Army, joint, and allied joint publications.
Develop the division and directorate strategy for accomplishing Army goals and objectives.
Coordinate and manage the overall Joint Doctrine Development Process IAW CJCSI 5120.02E (Joint Doctrine Development System) and AAP-47 (Allied Joint Doctrine Development).
Develop Army recommendations for U.S. ratification of Allied Joint Doctrine (NATO).
Supervise the development of the Army position for joint and allied joint terminology.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent will travel/go on temporary duty (TDY) 10% of the time, or more.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing recommendations for Joint Allied doctrine initiatives and issues; overseeing doctrine development within an organization; reviewing joint and allied joint publications; and assessing complex management processes and systems for Joint, multi-national, and agency doctrine development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
