You will serve as a Industrial Security Specialist in the Regulatory Affairs Division, Nuclear Propulsion Directorate of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
The BR-03 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14 grade levels.
Duties
You will be responsible over the Supplier Security program, to include program development/administration, monitoring program effectiveness, and resolution of significant/unprecedented supplier and industrial security issues as a technical authority.
You will ensure that suppliers for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) are properly identified.
You will protect Program information in accordance with Federal regulations and Program policy.
You will manage and administer the Supplier Security program for the NNPP.
You will develop and issue security management directives establishing supplier security procedures to meet Directorate requirements.
You will develop and implement new program procedures for the protection of classified and unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) by all
vendors performing NNPP work.
You will review recommended supplier security policy changes and upgrades for both Department of Energy (DOE) and Navy.
You will serve as a Supplier Security Program Manager and Senior Security Representative responsible for handling the most difficult, complex, and challenging supplier security issues within the NNPP Area of Responsibility (AOR).
You will ensure proper handling of Need-to-Know (NTK) access to program information.
You will review and approve security plans, conduct of on-site surveys, and assist visits to Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) suppliers.
You will conduct oversight of the Naval Reactors Field Office (NRLFO) Supplier Security Program to ensure due diligence for granting facility clearances to sponsored suppliers and periodic security inspections of contractor facilities are conducted.
You will conduct oversight of determinations for suppliers with Foreign Ownership Control or Influence (FOCI).
You will conduct reviews of requests for National Interest Determinations (NID) for FOCI companies requiring access to Restricted Data (RD).

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, BR-02 (GS-12 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating the operational effectiveness, management, or administration of a nuclear security program to identify security issues or vulnerabilities for the protection of information, personnel, property, operations or materials from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage or loss.
