About the Position: This position resides within the Aviation Coordination Element (ACE), The United States Army Aviation Brigade (TAAB), Fort Belvoir, VA, Joint Task Force-National Capital Region/United Sates Army Military District of Washington (JTF-NCR/USAMDW).
Duties
Directly works with Army senior officials and their senior staff members to advise on matters regarding Federal, DoD and Army travel policies and entitlements.
Serves as aviation expert knowledgeable in the areas of justification, validation and scheduling of military airlift support missions.
Regularly analyzes and evaluates organizations validation and analytical trends to identify significant changes, potential problem areas and measures overall effectiveness.
Researches and compiles data and ensures requests are in compliance with DoD directives, Army regulations and policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.

- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assist with developing policy for travel and/or transportation; advise senior staff on travel policies and/or entitlements such as Department of Defense transportation management policies; and coordinate complex mission requirements such as military airlift support missions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
