About the Position:
This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
Duties
Develop methods to assist the Department with improving its data quality and business practice.
Identify training needs, proponent of the training, and assists proponents in developing training plans as appropriate.
Provide graphical presentations of statistical data, as well as composite material involving data and other types of material for briefings, publications, and routine reports.
Assist with the development of recommendations for procedural changes that positively affect data quality for all levels of the organization.
Validate data for accuracy and completeness and refines into format for specific individual responses or summary reports.
Analyze and interpret a variety of work processes performed by personnel in functionally different but interrelated operations using computer systems impacting data quality.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes performing analysis of automated medical information reporting systems; interpreting data; and preparing reports.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Statistics/Data, Business Administration, Health Care Management or other fields related to the position to be filled.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
