About the Position: This is a Plans Specialist for Live Virtual Constructive-Integrated Training Environment (LVC-ITE) with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security, Training Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Duties
Provide expertise regarding the development of emerging requirements that enhance live, virtual, constructive, and gaming training readiness for division, brigade, battalion and company levels.
Use web-based collaborative tools such as Training Support Services- Enterprise (TSS-E) database portals, e-mail, computer networks, white boards, bulletin board systems, chat lines, and on-line presentation tools.
Strategically plan in order to synchronize major program elements for Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) submission.
Develop strategies to support future development of training enabler requirements.
Maintain currency in military tactics, operational doctrine, and the Army's Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE).
Perform duties of the DPTMS Chief, Training Division in their absence such as supporting the execution, integration, and delivery of all Training Support Services.
Develop and provide briefings to Senior Leaders regarding the employment of training enablers during major training events.
Serve as the lead planner for the coordination and delivery of the Live Virtual Constructive-Integrated Training Environment (LVC-ITE) to meet unit commander training objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The position was determined not to meet the requirements for application of the General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). The position will still have supervisory duties and meets the definition of supervisor in 5 U.S.C. 7103 (A)(10).
- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to work holidays and/or weekends.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Plan the execution of collective training events to leverage support services; 2). Develop emerging training enabler requirements to provide supportive validation to the ever changing organizational readiness demands; and 3). Analyze technical systems to ensure the integrated training environment meets all organizational training objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
