The position is in the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and part of the Architect of the Capitol (AOC). The OIG provides wide-ranging support on all phases of Inspector General (IG) oversight to combat fraud, waste and abuse and encourage efficiency and economy.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Additional information on the qualification requirements is outlined in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions. It is available for your review on the OPM web site at OPM classification standards Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.Candidates for the GS­-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service.  Specialized experience for this position is defined as the following:  Specialized experience for this position is defined as the following: (1) Implemented and administered a quality assurance/independent reference review process. (2) Written, edited, or provided advice on work products in accordance with GAO and/or CIGIE guidelines and standards. (3) Developed new processes and procedures to enhance and expand the OIG’s reporting and data gathering capabilities. (4) Analyzed, interpreted, and integrated information/data gathered into a variety of formats such as graphs, tables, databases, and spreadsheets. 

Education

This position has promotion potential to the GS-14.

However, to be creditable, foreign education must have been evaluated by an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
