You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the China Lake Ranges Department, responsible for the Direct Product Account and Cost Distribution Account at NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will be responsible for the financial health and status of a $60M Direct Product Account (DPA) with approximately 40 resources. You will utilize rules and regulations of most funding types, specifically MRTFB and Direct funds. You will monitor budget plans and execution, analyze data, evaluate and interpret findings, develop constructive conclusions and recommendations, and present quality reports and analysis to customers. You will provide variance analysis, prepare briefs, and communicate back to necessary levels of management effectively and efficiently, providing sound guidance regarding business and financial activities.

• This is a Financial Management Level 02 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

(DA-04):Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Extracting financial data from automated systems to perform financial and cost analyses; 2) Tracking and reviewing expenses; 3) Utilizing Microsoft Excel or similar programs to retrieve or input financial information; 4) Communicating financial information to various levels within an organization both written and orally; 4) Utilizing and recommending improvements to financial processes. (DA-03): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/8) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Extracting financial data from automated systems; 2) Tracking and reviewing expenses; 3) Utilizing Microsoft Excel or similar programs to retrieve or input financial information; 4) Communicating financial information both written and orally; 4) Utilizing financial processes in order to perform work.
