You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR in the Fire and Emergency Services Department of NAS PENSACOLA.
Duties
You will compile statistical data concerning plans, review, fire inspections and corrections, fire investigations, and fire and life safety education activities.
You will investigate fires of suspicious origin.
You will inspect new construction for inclusion of fire prevention materials or equipment.
You will advise senior leaders of the progress of the fire prevention program.
You will provide comprehensive training programs in modern fire prevention technology to all commands in NAS.
Requirements
- This position is a 56 hour weekly, 112 hour bi-weekly embedded schedule.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical expertise, advise, and supervision in fire protection efforts; 2) Overseeing fire safety for industrial and operational practices; 3) Conducting fire protection inspections; and 4) Conducting fire prevention training.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, HAZMAT IC, Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector III, National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT). These certifications must have been awarded by DOD, IFSAC or Pro-board to meet the requirement. Copies of Certifications MUST be submitted with your application to verify eligibility. If you do not possess all of the above certifications you will be rated ineligible.
