You will serve as a AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN) in the COMMANDING OFFICER DEPARTMENT, MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, PRODUCTION LINES DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will perform progressive static and dynamic examination and evaluation of assigned Type/Model/Series (TMS) aircraft electrical systems, components and accessories.
You will evaluate aircraft that has been involved in crash damage, heat/fire/salt water damage, hard landings, and overstress conditions; and conduct aircraft systems and sub-systems troubleshooting and fault isolation.
You will establish man-hour estimates for the over and above work and direct the procurement or repair of components/material, and make recommendations for cannibalization in lieu of procurement or repair of components/material.
You will provide technical advice and recommendation(s) to production, support organizations and customers regarding the examination and evaluation results.
You will provide technical representation, as required, in the development/revision of product work specifications, resolution of work process conflicts, development of new business products, capabilities, processes and procedures.
You will collect and provide data for engineering Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and logistics analysis, norms and budget formulation, material forecasting, and workload planning.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
