You will serve as an Aircraft Electrician Leader in the Aviation Maintenance/Material Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will disassemble and assembles aircraft, installs service changes, reassembles electrical components, makes system repairs and adjustments.
You will perform system operational/functional tests and corrects faults disclosed by ground and flight tests. Devise repair procedures based on technical/engineering data and replace-failed components.
You will install and connects electrical components such as black boxes, avionics gear, motors, generators, converters, relays, switches, circuit breakers, relay panels, etc. Removes, installs, and services radar units.
You will assure that safety, tool control, foreign object damage (FOO), Hazmat, and housekeeping rules are followed.
You will provide technical assistance to personnel working on overhaul/repair tasks; Pass instructions received from a supervisor and task workers and gets the job started.
Requirements

- Must obtain and maintain all required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.

I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks including; 1)Leads employees and conducts formal training and on-the-job training; 2) Assigns tasks to individual workers, maintains progress and resolves problems and production impediments; 3) Passes on Supervisors instructions and provides guidance to others; 4) Attends production meetings and addresses status and constraints and endures noisy, dusty, and hazardous conditions with or without aircraft engine turns in various weather conditions; 5) Endures tight or cramped aircraft compartments and have the physical ability to carry items that may weigh 35+ pounds in and out of the aircraft on a consistent basis; 6) Lead and explain work requirements to artisans; 7) Prioritize and assign work, communicate effectively orally and in writing and follow and maintain compliance procedures, organizational computer applications knowledge; 8) Test, check, and troubleshoot aircraft avionics and electrical systems; 9) Have E2-C/D aircraft Test Line and aircraft production line experience. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
B. I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including: 1)Leads employees and conducts training and on-the-job training; 2) Assigns tasks to individual workers, maintains progress and resolves problems and production impediments; 3) Passes on Supervisors instructions and provides guidance to others; 4) Attends production meetings and addresses status and constraints and endures noisy, dusty, and hazardous conditions with or without aircraft engine turns in various weather conditions; 5) Endures tight or cramped aircraft compartments and have the physical ability to carry items that may weigh 35+ pounds in and out of the aircraft on a consistent basis; 6) Ability to lead and explain work requirements to artisans; 7) Prioritize and assign work, communicate effectively orally and in writing and follow and maintain compliance procedures, organizational computer applications knowledge; 8) Test, check, and troubleshoot aircraft avionics and electrical systems; 9) Have some E2-C/D aircraft Test Line and aircraft production line experience. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
C. I have the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including; 1) Ability to lead employees and conducts training; 2) Assigns tasks to workers, maintains progress and resolves problems and production impediments; 3) Passes on Supervisors instructions and provides guidance to others; 4) Attends production meetings and addresses status and constraints and endures noisy, dusty, and hazardous conditions with or without aircraft engine turns in various weather conditions; 5) Endures tight or cramped aircraft compartments and have the physical ability to carry items that may weigh 35+ pounds in and out of the aircraft on a consistent basis; 6) Ability to lead and explain work requirements to artisans; 7) Assigns work, communicate effectively orally and in writing and follow and maintain compliance procedures, organizational computer applications knowledge; 8) Test, check, and troubleshoot aircraft avionics and electrical systems; 9) Some E2-C/D aircraft Test Line and aircraft production line experience. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
