About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Sustainment Command, Army Field Support Brigade-CONUS West, LSE at Fort Riley, KS.
Duties
Serve as a Workforce Management Specialist for the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) or Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn) of the US Army Sustainment Command (ASC).
Provide technical management advisory services for complex and rapidly changing organizations throughout various geographical locations.
Serve as a liaison between the local Civilian Human Resources Center and management in coordinating workforce and civilian personnel matters that have organization-wide applications.
Address issues pertaining to individual employees, positions and organizational elements.
Advise management on positions and personnel actions to include professional technical and administrative occupations of all grades.
Provide training or assistance on civilian personnel matters.
Work directly with various echelons of resource managements to obtain and maintain manning documents and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) information.
Provide advice or assistance regarding discipline adverse actions, grievances, performance management and recognition, employee counseling, and related functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary duty travel of 25% may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience researching and applying HR regulations, operating procedures, and management principles to ensure workforce management functions are in line with organizational mission and objectives; experience utilizing various HR management systems and/or programs to ensure effective position management, organization structure and staffing patterns; and experience providing personnel advice to hiring officials, employees, supervisors, and staff in subordinate departments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
