About the Position: Incumbent serves as the front desk receptionist for the Real Property Services Field Office (RSFO) which involves, providing information to, and properly routing visitors at the reception desk, and answering telephone calls. Provides administrative support within a support services office with responsibility for performing a full range of standard and nonstandard clerical assignments involving different and unrelated steps, processes, or methods.
Duties
Maintain work/suspense tracking system to monitor action items and office deadlines.
Refer visitors to the appropriate person/office.
Compose written responses, transmittals, and confirmations to internal and external customer inquiries.
Use office automation to perform administrative duties.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a critical sensitive (TOP SECRET/SCI) security clearance and must be able to pass a polygraph test or a series of polygraph tests and continue to pass the polygraph test on a periodic basis.
- This position requires participation in the Department of Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program to include passing a urinalysis drug testing prior to appointment and passing random urinalysis drug testing thereafter.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing a variety of administrative duties such as tracking critical suspense dates; 2) Providing guidance or information in an advisory capacity in any of the following areas: customer service, correspondence review, or mailing service; and 3) Utilizing automated systems to conduct administrative duties such as maintaining logs, perform basic research, posting bulletins or reserving conference rooms. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
