About the Position: This is a developmental position re-engineered at less than the full performance level for recruitment and training purposes. Work assignments are generally made by supervisor or higher-grade personnel in terms of specific work to be conducted. Unusual procedures or approaches are reviewed prior to implementation.
Duties
Interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to accomplish organizational and district level actions, such as travel arrangements, training completion, organizational events and programs.
Prepare various reports involving assembly of data.
Use office automation to perform administrative duties.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the skill of a qualified typist to include a typing proficiency of at least 40words per minute based on a five-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
- This position requires participation in the Department of Army Drug-Free Federal WorkplaceProgram to include passing a urinalysis drug testing prior to appointment and passing random urinalysis drug testing thereafter.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes
Performing a variety of administrative duties such as tracking taskers, coordinating office events, and travel arrangements; 2. Providing guidance or information in an advisory capacity in any of the following areas: time and attendance, travel policy, purchasing or training; and 3. Utilizing automated systems to conduct administrative duties such as editing correspondence, time and attendance, travel orders/vouchers, or financial transactions.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
