About the Position: Serve as Administrative Support Assistant (OA) at ACH Winn Army Community Hospital. Manage, direct, and administer a variety of office service functions ensuring they are carried out in the most efficient and economical manner. Adjust priorities to meet varied workloads. Review work for conformity with established standards of quantity/quality.
Duties
Performs a variety of administrative and support type duties in such areas as personnel management, technical reporting, timekeeping, security, travel, training, procurement, and files management.
Produces varied administrative reports, technical papers, correspondence or written documents which may require incumbent to modify existing or to devise new methods to integrate data from different types of software into a single document.
Manages the departmental databases for assigned areas within clinical services of responsibility.
Maintains knowledge of pending conferences, appointments, briefings, telephone calls to remind senior administrative staff of such commitments.
Prepares correspondence ensuring documents have grammatical correctness, clarity of thought, and proper format.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) taking notes or preparing minutes from conferences or meetings; (2) preparing drafts and final form correspondence utilizing proper grammar and formatting; (3) communicating with customers/staff over the phone and in person; AND (4) utilizing database applications and automated systems to generate reports, spreadsheets, and charts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
