About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant.
Duties
Manage Records Management Program.
Promote, manage and train Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS).
Prepare records disposition reports.
Develop, controls retention, transfer, retirement, or disposal of unclassified records.
Manage Interactive Customer Satisfaction (ICE) system, for Ft Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
Prepares correspondence memos, reports and compiles in final form.
Develop individual training plan to ensure employees meet level certification requirements.
Conduct formal briefings with employees, responds to all questions.
Administrator training website ensure new employees are added/assigned courses.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Travel Requirement - May be required to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 5% of the time.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience conducting records management surveys; experience establishing and maintaining office files; experience ensuring correspondence is properly formatted; and experience in developing individual training plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
