You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the ADVANCED SECURITY DIVISION, SECURITY DEPARTMENT.

Duties
You will serve as the branch head for a team of Security Specialists with the Special Security Office (SSO).
You will provide management, oversight, and administration of the Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial Security programs within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in support of various teams across the Command.
You will maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities; and providing leadership and supervision.
You will provide coaching, counseling, and discipline to employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; conduct training; implement enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
You will maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
You will administer all aspects of the security program protecting the Command from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to mission interests.
You will establish priorities and coordinate work across projects, programs or people, and effectively balance work demands.
You will communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately to a large range of audiences.
You will manage Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs): The SSO oversees the operation of all SCIFs in the command, including security, control, and use.
You will also as the appointed Special Security Officer (SSO) for NAWCWD.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following:1) Interpreting a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs; 2) Understanding documentation related to facility planning, contracts, and requirements; 3) Protecting classified information and force protection/mission assurance applications; 4) Coordinating the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support
