You will serve as an Office Automation Assistant in the Administrations Department of NAVSAFECOM.
Duties
You will review projects to select appropriate application software package or packages to create, copy, edit, insert, delete, move, store, retrieve, and print a wide variety of standard documents.
You will manipulate data in existing databases and design new databases and reports.
You will review completed assignments for technical accuracy and monitors timeliness.
You will process all personnel pay, gains and losses, transfers, retirement and separation packages, and leave requests.
You will be responsible for the scheduling of conference rooms, provide central phone answering services and
record management services.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Preparing, receiving, and/or reviewing documents; 2) Utilizing a mail system for preparing and processing incoming and outgoing mail for distribution to their respective destination; 3) Articulating effectively and conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; 4) Utilizing databases or spreadsheets to create, enter, revise, sort, calculate and retrieve data for reports; 5) Preparing correspondence including business letters, memoranda, directives, and/or reports.
