You will serve as an OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the FLEET WEATHER CENTER of NAVAVNFCSTCEN.
Duties
You will develop methods for automating recurring tasks and reports, considering the multiple uses of the data presented.
You will develop and maintain an up-to-date computer database for all correspondence.
You will retrieve and convert data into graphic form and incorporate the data into text for various reports.
You will use automated systems to prepare technical and statistical letters and reports on subjects related to the Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act, Criminal Investigations, Base Loading Data and one-of-a-kind requests.
You will maintain a library of briefings for conferences and VIP visits.
You will develop procedures regarding the preparation and publication of various documents used for presentations for visiting high-level civilian and naval personnel.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
GS-07
To qualify for the OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT, GS-0326-07, position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using United States Postal Regulations.
Experience operating a government vehicle to pick up official and personal U.S. Mail.
Experience with and a fundamental knowledge of DON pay and personnel records to operate as a Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA).
Experience using the Enterprise Records Management System (ERMS) and Total Records Information Management (TRIM) to function as system manager.
Experience with the Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA) system to function as system manager.
GS-06
To qualify for the OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT, GS-0326-06, position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience and knowledge of DON Correspondence Manual, Navy Directive Issuance System, and Standard Subject Identification Codes.
Experience using United States Postal Regulations.
Experience operating a government vehicle to pick up official and personal U.S. Mail.
Experience with and a fundamental knowledge of DON pay and personnel records to operate as a Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA).
