You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SECTION, MANPOWER BRANCH, MARINE CORPS INDIVIDUAL RESERVE SUPPORT ACTIVITY (MCIRSA) of MARFORRES NOLA.

Duties

You will review/manage records and various documents regarding complex cases involved with the Voluntary Separation Incentive (VSI) program. You will ensure that all levels of necessary administrative review have been completed to ensure correct incentive payments and contractual obligations are met. You will review data entries in the automated personnel management systems. You will review records and process actions involving complex regulations. You will identify gaps or inconsistencies in the record and initiate action to obtain needed data. You will prepare assignment letters for personnel to conduct preliminary investigations into the delinquency of actions and provide all documents to investigating officials.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: identifying efficiencies and solutions to problem areas affecting operations, interpreting and applying policies that impact operations, and performing analytical work in administrating the success of Civilian and Military Manpower. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

superior academic achievement
