This position is part of the Office of the Project Manager, Strategic Petroleum Reserve, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for providing guidance, oversight and evaluation of the Management and Operating (M&O) Contractor and the Support Services Contractor (SSC) to ensure accuracy and compliance of all financial management requirements for the SPR programs.

- This position is approved to work remotely full-time, but the employee must be located within the New Orleans, LA locality pay area of the DOE Worksite and must be a realistic commuting distance of the DOE Worksite.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Providing technical and management guidance on the most appropriate method or procedures of analysis and evaluation.
Evaluating administrative program policies, regulations, goals, or objectives
Analyzing management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.
Experience in financial management and knowledge of the Federal budget process and associated policies/regulations.
