Duties
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Event Director, Event Analyst, and specified domain (Air/Space/Cyber/Land/Maritime/NKE-EW) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Shadow Operations Center- Nellis with the responsibility for providing both advanced expertise in the planning, execution, and assessment of assigned technologies and events.
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of United States Air Force Warfare (USAFWC) Shadow Operations Center (SHOC-N) Battlelab in the 805 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) as a Multi-Domain Event Planner/Director
Will functionally and operationally assess JADC2 / ABMS applications, software, and TTPs for integration into SHOC-N supported or hosted events as event domain analyst
Apply Air domain subject matter expertise to multi-Domain scenario development, modeling and simulation execution and analysis in support of the organic Battlelab live, synthetic environment (LSE)

Qualifications
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series, 0343.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes extensive in-depth knowledge of the mission, organization and work processes of programs throughout a military command, and the relationships of administrative support activities to such missions. Knowledge is applied when assessing programs/projects, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs. The work requires skill in preparing staff reports/briefings and skill in organizing and delivering briefings to managers to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations; extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of administrative and technical programs; knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones and methods of evaluating planning actions as they relate to actual events.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Expert knowledge of Joint operational-level and tactical-level command and control, as well as the applicable tactics, techniques and procedures for the specified domain, for application to assigned projects and events
Expert knowledge of the specified domain processes, procedures and TTPs as applied to assigned sensitive military capabilities, operations, weapons systems and relevant non-AF C2
Advanced ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.
Experience in leading the planning, execution and assessment of Joint Multi-Domain operations/experiments/tests/exercises, to include familiarity with the Joint Test Cycle (JTC) and/or the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), at the COCOM/MAJCOM level
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Air Force rated officer and operations center experience required. Weapons School, Checkmate, and/or Contingency Warfare planner experience desired.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
