About the Position: This Program Manager (Tech Support) is located at U.S. Army Operational Test Command, Intelligence Electronic Warfare Test Directorate (IEWTD) with duty location of Fort Huachuca, Arizona. (merit)
Duties
Determine objectives of work to be accomplished by subordinates as Technical Support Division Chief.
Provide direction for areas such as the development, integration, cost, scheduling, performance, installation, verification, checkout, and testing of the broad spectrum of technology projects, data collection systems and weapons systems under test.
Resolve problems in the field to develop fundamental new concepts.
Serve as Contracting Officer Representative for assigned contracts to coordinate contractual issues with the contracting officers.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the incumbent to work a variable tour work schedule based on mission requirements.
- This position requires frequent extended Temporary Duty (TDY) travel, up to 25% of the time and potentially higher based on mission requirements.
- This position requires the employee to be certified as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) through the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) within a year.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).
