About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Plans and Operations Division, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
Duties
Review and analyzes short-and long-range strategic logistics planning objectives and goals.
Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracts and task orders established to execute LRC missions within the area of operation.
Prepare and present oral and written presentations in a clear, concise and effective manner in order to represent, defend and establish installation maintenance logistics operations
Serve as Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating logistics operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position may be subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1. Applying logistical policies, functions, and operations in order to develop policies and guidance for the resolution of maintenance issues. AND;
2. Preparing presentations and participates in conferences with responsible representatives of industry and other government activities. AND;
3. Creating and submitting documents required to establish contracts, monitor performance, and accept invoices for payment. AND;
4. Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities and schedules completion.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
