About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities
Duties
Serves as the Deputy Director responsible for management, coordination, planning and execution of directorate operations support.
Directs and controls activities of professional and technical personnel, and exercises supervisory personnel over the chiefs of subordinate offices and weapon system divisions.
Serves as the primary interface to the Program Managers (PMs)/Program Executive Offices (PEOs)/Research Development and Engineering Centers (RDECs).
Directs and monitors all the efforts of a professional, technical, and administrative workforce engaged in planning, coordinating, and executing the technical aspects of the program.
Provides technical and administrative advice and assistance as required to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work.
Army Maintenance policy including Provisioning and Maintenance Concept Development, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Source of Repair Analysis (SORA), Bill of Material (BOM) development and maintenance, data quality management.
Resource Management including planning, programming, and budgeting across multiple appropriations to acquire and maintain end items and components.
Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of teams through grade GS-14 or equivalent in carrying out assigned functional and administrative responsibilities.
Responsible for personnel and budget allocation for the directorate.
Initiates personnel actions, interviews candidates for positions, and makes recommendations and/or selections for appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
Develops performance standards, approves leave, receives, and attempts to resolve complaints referring to group grievances and more serious complaints to a higher level.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- As a condition of employment, CAP (non-KLP) selectees must sign a DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) to acknowledge acceptance of their position and agree to serve for a three-year tenure period.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience: Developing long-range plans and specific projects necessary to maintain the readiness and operational capability of major weapon systems, subsystems, and components; 2) Formulating and implementing Integrated Logistics Support strategies that maximize materiel readiness and reduces life cycle costs; AND 3) Managing the recruitment, career development, training, and retention of a high-quality workforce.
