Prioritizes and schedules flight inspection taskings by building safe and efficient itineraries, in direct coordination with Air Traffic, Technical Operations, Airfield Managers, and DoD. Exercises delegated operational control under the Flight Program Operations’ 14 CFR Part 135 Air Operator Certificate for the dispatch and flight following of Flight Program Operations’ aircraft.
Duties
Evaluates flight inspection requirements to plan, schedule, and coordinate flight inspection of ground and satellite-based facilities, systems, and instrument flight procedures. Prioritizes and schedules flight inspection taskings to ensure they do not go overdue by building safe and efficient itineraries, in direct coordination with the appropriate Air Traffic Facility, Technical Operations Representative, Air Field Management, DoD, and other stake holders. Creates Authorizations and manage/maintain their assigned team’s [field office/area of responsibility] scheduling tools/information as needed to facilitate the execution and communication of Flight Program Operations’ missions assigned to their team. Coordinates with management to ensure team’s itineraries and authorizations are authorized by a time and date defined by management.

Qualifications
To qualify for this FG-12 position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG/GS-10/11 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience with the policy, procedures, directives associated with the flight inspection of various navigational aids maintained in the National Airspace System, experience with the flight inspection mission technical requirements; experience with primary systems used for flight inspection and/or experience with crew scheduling, etc.ORTo qualify for this FG-13 position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG/-12 level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience evaluating flight inspection requirements to plan, schedule, and coordinate flight inspection of ground and satellite-based facilities, systems, and instrument flight procedures; Experience prioritizing and scheduling flight inspection taskings to ensure they do not go overdue by building safe and efficient itineraries; Experience creating authorizations to manage/maintain their assigned team’s scheduling tools/information as needed to facilitate the execution and communication of Flight Program Operations’ missions; Experience coordinating with management to ensure team’s itineraries and authorizations are authorized by a time and date defined by management; Experience advising management of potential crew and/or aircraft availability issues; Experience coordinating crew scheduling modifications due to operational considerations.ANDIn addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration.SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): Applicants must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Rating (ATP) certificate or FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate.
